How I work as an AHPRA-registered Occupational Therapist
In plain English: I'm a registered Occupational Therapist, and that comes with professional standards I take seriously. This page explains what my registration means, what my work here is (and isn't), and how I make sure my content meets advertising and ethical guidelines for health practitioners.

My registration
Sally Galloway is a registered Occupational Therapist with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia, regulated by the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
Registration number: OCC0001747854
You can verify any registered health practitioner's status through the AHPRA register at ahpra.gov.au.
What I do here
Through Your Early Education OT and Regulation Rituals®, I provide:
- Professional education and training for early childhood educators.
- Workshops, immersions, and coaching for early childhood services.
- Online courses and digital resources.
- Strategic and consultative work with centres and organisations.
My work draws on 16 years of OT experience, including leadership roles in early childhood, community, and school-based settings.
What I don't do here
Through this website and my online programs, I do not:
- Assess, diagnose, or treat individual children.
- Provide therapy services to families.
- Provide one-to-one clinical advice about a specific child.
- Replace the role of a child's treating team.
If you have concerns about a specific child, please follow your service's referral pathways or recommend the family seek an individual assessment from a registered allied health practitioner.
Educational content, not clinical advice
Information shared on my website, social media, podcasts, courses, and emails is general professional education. It is informed by current evidence, my professional experience, and Occupational Therapy Australia practice guidance — but it is not personalised clinical advice. Always use your professional judgement and your service's policies when applying any content to your practice.
Advertising and testimonials
As an AHPRA-registered practitioner, I follow the National Law and AHPRA's guidelines for advertising a regulated health service. This means:
- I do not publish testimonials about clinical services I provide.
- Where I share feedback from educators or centres, it relates to professional education and training — not clinical care of an individual.
- I aim to make claims that are accurate, evidence-informed, and not misleading.
- I do not create unreasonable expectations of benefit.
If you spot something on my website or content that you think doesn't meet these standards, I'd genuinely like to know — please email me at [email protected].
Continuing professional development
I maintain my registration through ongoing CPD, supervision where appropriate, and engagement with current research and professional networks. Where my content draws on specific research, I aim to cite or reference it clearly.
Insurance
SG OT Holdings Pty Ltd holds professional indemnity insurance and public liability insurance appropriate for the services we provide. Certificates of currency are available on request for centres or organisations engaging our services.
Concerns or complaints about my practice
If you have a concern about my professional conduct as a registered OT, please first contact me at [email protected] so I can understand and respond to your concern.
You also have the right to raise concerns directly with AHPRA at ahpra.gov.au or by calling 1300 419 495.

General Information Disclaimer
All online content is general information only — never advice about a specific child
In plain English: Everything I share online — on this website, in my courses, in my emails, on social media, in podcasts, and anywhere else — is general professional education. It is never clinical advice about a specific child. If you are concerned about a particular child, please seek individual professional support for that child.

1. The purpose of this disclaimer
This disclaimer applies to all online content produced or published by SG OT Holdings Pty Ltd (ABN 51 669 041 829), trading as Your Early Education OT and Regulation Rituals®. Its purpose is to be absolutely clear about what my online content is — and what it is not — so that educators, parents, leaders, and other readers can use it well and safely.
2. What this disclaimer applies to
This disclaimer applies to all online content I produce, including:
- My website (sallygalloway.com.au), including blog posts, pages, downloadable resources, free guides, and quizzes.
- The Regulation Rituals® program, including video modules, slide decks, audio, scripts, worksheets, and supporting materials.
- Email content, including newsletters, course emails, sequences, and broadcasts.
- Social media content on Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok, YouTube, and any other platform I use.
- Podcast episodes, audio recordings, and interviews.
- Webinars, masterclasses, free trainings, and live sessions.
- Comments, captions, replies, and direct messages on any platform.
- Any AI-generated, AI-assisted, or automated responses associated with my business.
- Any future formats or platforms I publish on.
3. All online content is general information
Every piece of online content I publish is general professional education for early childhood educators, leaders, and parents. It is informed by:
- Current research and evidence.
- My 16 years of professional experience as an Occupational Therapist.
- My ongoing professional development and reading.
- Practice frameworks recognised in occupational therapy, early childhood education, and developmental science.
It is created for a broad audience — many people, in many roles, in many settings, working with many different children. It cannot account for the specific circumstances of any individual child, family, educator, or service.
4. Online content is not advice about a specific child
This is the most important point in this document, so I want to state it as clearly as possible.
Nothing I publish online is, or should be treated as:
- An assessment of a specific child.
- A diagnosis of any condition, difference, or difficulty in a specific child.
- A clinical recommendation for a specific child.
- A therapy plan, intervention plan, or behaviour plan for a specific child.
- Personalised advice for the child you are reading or watching this with in mind.
- A substitute for assessment, diagnosis, or therapy by a registered allied health practitioner who knows the child.
Even if a piece of content describes a child whose situation sounds very similar to one you are thinking about, please do not treat it as advice about that child. Children are not the sum of their behaviours; the same behaviour can mean very different things in different children, contexts, and relationships. Only an individual assessment by someone who knows the child can support that level of conclusion.
5. Online content is not a substitute for professional advice
My online content is also not a substitute for:
- Occupational therapy assessment or therapy provided by a clinician who has met your child.
- Medical advice from a GP, paediatrician, or other medical practitioner.
- Mental health support from a psychologist, counsellor, or mental health professional.
- Speech pathology, physiotherapy, dietetics, or any other allied health discipline.
- Educational diagnostic or psychoeducational assessment.
- Legal, financial, or industrial relations advice.
- Your own service's policies, procedures, and professional supervision arrangements.
If a person, child, or family in front of you needs individual support, please seek that support from a qualified person who can work with them directly.
6. If you are an educator
My content is designed to build your professional capability — your understanding, your reflective practice, your skills in noticing and responding to children. It is meant to support your professional judgement, not replace it.
When you are working with a specific child, please:
- Use your own professional judgement, training, and experience.
- Follow your service's policies, procedures, and reporting pathways.
- Seek supervision and support from your nominated supervisor or leadership team.
- Engage your service's referral pathways when a child needs more support than your role can offer.
- Encourage families to seek individual professional support where appropriate.
7. If you are a parent or family member
My content can help you understand more about regulation, sensory needs, and child development in general. But please remember:
- I do not know your child.
- I cannot tell you what is happening for your child or what your child needs.
- If you are worried about your child, please speak to your GP, paediatrician, child health nurse, or a registered allied health professional who can meet your child.
Your concerns about your own child are valid and worth pursuing. Please don't let general online content (mine or anyone else's) be the only thing you rely on.
8. If you are a leader or organisation
My content can inform your team's professional development, your service's approach to regulation and behaviour, and your strategic thinking. It is not a substitute for:
- A formal review or audit of your service's practice.
- Tailored consultancy with someone who has met your team and seen your service in action.
- Legal, HR, or industrial relations advice.
- Specific advice about an individual child, family, or staff member.
If your service needs that level of specific support, please engage me (or another suitable practitioner) for a formal piece of work where I can know your context properly.
9. If you are a child or young person
My content is designed for adults who work with or care for children. If you are under 18 and you have come across my content, please talk to a trusted adult — a parent, teacher, school counsellor, or GP — about anything that has worried you or that you have questions about.
10. AI-generated and AI-assisted content
I sometimes use AI tools to support content creation, drafting, and operations. Even where AI has been involved in producing a piece of content, the same principle applies: it is general information, not advice about a specific child. AI does not change my professional accountability for what I publish, and it does not turn general information into individualised clinical advice.
Please see my AI Use Policy for more on how I work with these tools.
11. Currency of information
I try to make sure my online content reflects current evidence and good practice at the time of publication. However:
- Knowledge changes over time.
- Older content (blog posts, social media posts, recorded webinars) may not reflect my most current thinking or current best practice.
- I do not commit to retrospectively updating every piece of historical content.
If a piece of content is older or you are unsure whether it is still current, please use it as a starting point only and check current sources.
12. Outcomes are not guaranteed
I do not guarantee any specific outcome from engaging with my online content. Children, educators, families, and services are different. What works wonderfully in one setting may not work in another. My content is offered as professional education, not as a promised result.
13. My professional obligations
As an AHPRA-registered Occupational Therapist, I am required to ensure my advertising and public content is accurate, evidence-informed, and not misleading, and that I do not create unreasonable expectations of benefit. This disclaimer is part of how I meet that obligation. If you ever feel a piece of my content does not meet that standard, I genuinely want to know — please email me at [email protected].
14. Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by Australian law, SG OT Holdings Pty Ltd is not liable for any loss, harm, or consequence arising from any person's reliance on online content as if it were advice about a specific child or a substitute for individual professional support. Nothing in this clause excludes any rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot lawfully be excluded.
15. If you are unsure
If you are ever unsure whether a piece of my content applies to your situation, the safest assumption is that it doesn't — and that you should seek individual professional advice for the specific child, family, or service you have in mind. That is not me being unhelpful. It is me being honest about what general content can and cannot do.
16. Where to seek individual support
If you are looking for individual support for a specific child, you may consider:
- Your GP or paediatrician for a referral to allied health.
- Your child health nurse (especially for early developmental concerns).
- A registered Occupational Therapist, Speech Pathologist, Psychologist, or other allied health practitioner who can assess the child individually.
- Your child's educator and the educational leader at their early childhood service.
- If your child has an NDIS plan, your plan manager or local area coordinator.
- In an emergency, 000. For urgent mental health concerns, Lifeline on 13 11 14 or Kids Helpline on 1800 55 1800.
